Munich Jewellery Week, the leading global event for contemporary jewelry, hosts Living Matter, an exhibition that reimagines the relationship between materiality and transformation.
Presented within the Handwerk & Design Fair, this showcase invites visitors to experience contemporary jewelry not just as ornamentation but as a living, evolving entity, constantly interacting with the wearer and its surroundings.
Curated by HOOROON and Arte Design Venezia, Living Matter challenges the perception of materials as fixed and unchanging. It explores how traditionally rigid elements like metal and stone can convey movement, fluidity, and organic transformation. Featuring an international selection of jewelry artists, the exhibition presents pieces that emulate biological textures, veins, tree sap, and skin, creating an immersive and tactile dialogue with nature. Here, jewelry becomes a silent yet powerful expression of natural vitality.
