September 5th – 29th, 2025 | The Venice Glass Week
The fourth edition of The Transparent Breath, the international exhibition dedicated to contemporary glass jewelry, took place last September in a new and meaningful context. For the 2025 edition, the exhibition partnered with Libreria Giovanni by Edizioni Tlon, located inside Fondazione Querini Stampalia, a major cultural institution in the historic heart of Venice.
Organised by the Cultural Association Arte Design Venezia, in collaboration with HOOROON Curatorial Studio and Lisa Balasso, the exhibition presented more than 50 works by 21 international artists. The pieces explored the sculptural, conceptual, and expressive potential of glass within the field of contemporary jewellery.
The official presentation was held on Saturday, September 13th at 4:30 PM, with many of the participating artists in attendance.
In this edition, contemporary jewelry unfolded as a narrative space, a gesture, a living material. Glass, with its dual nature of fragility and strength, became an eloquent expressive medium in the hands of artists from around the world. Each work reflected a distinct voice and sensitivity, giving form to personal stories, collective memories, cultural tensions, and political reflections.
The Transparent Breath 2025 stood as a celebration of these diverse perspectives, transforming the exhibition into a language of transparency, transformation, and artistic intention.
Eight of the artists featured in the exhibition were selected for a special showcase at Creativity Oggetti Gallery in Turin, presented on the occasion of The Creativity Oggetti Award.
This recognition highlights the originality and strength of their artistic voices, offering them a new platform to exhibit their work within an esteemed contemporary jewellery context above Venice.
